1. Qualified tableware is marked with "QS", usually at the bottom of the bowl. Some high quality imitation porcelain tableware is marked “100% Melamine”.

2. Tableware marked "UF" can only be used for the preservation of non-food items or food that needs to be peeled (such as oranges and bananas). Food contact tableware made of A5 melamine compound is safe for the preservation of food eating directly

3. Consumers are advised not to buy melamine products without the mark "QS".

4. Go to the regular supermarket and shopping mall to buy tableware rather than some stalls for cheaper ones.

5. Consumers should check if the tableware are out of shape or lose color.

6. Children are not advised to use bright colored melamine tableware, especially in side printing. Try to choose light color melamine tableware instead.

7. Do not put acidic, oily, alkaline food in melamine tableware for a long time.
